the opacifico hotel boutique is a hidden gem! it’s super close to the ferry port, making it so convenient. we loved the clean, modern room and the beautiful pools on-site. the warm welcome with a drink was a lovely touch that made us feel at home.

Having a one-night stay while taking a ferry to Puntarenas was quite enjoyable. The spacious and clean room offered a comfortable retreat, and the lovely patio setting made it even better despite some foot traffic nearby. I particularly appreciated the well-maintained grounds, which were a treat for the eyes, complete with pools and plenty of wildlife around. Although I found the restaurant's prices a bit steep for the offerings, the overall atmosphere and convenience of the hotel made my stay a pleasant experience.

the patio was a lovely spot, but I felt so exposed with people traipsing by. plus, I expected a complimentary drink for my troubles but no such luck! breakfast had potential but was definitely too small. I almost gave a great review, but they just couldn’t manage basic hospitality. how sad!

well kept grounds, natural environment, proximity to ferry port
The beach isn't ideal for walking, filled with shells and stones!!! The activities offered are inflexible, and the absence of a TV left us feeling disconnected at times!!! Reheating food doesn't cut it for place like this!!!

Couple seeking a calm getaway
The beautiful grounds and wildlife created a serene atmosphere, and I loved the big pool for adults that felt like a little escape. We enjoyed the fine sunsets while relaxing on our private beach access which made every moment special.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but the experience was still acceptable.
